Two tables form an L along two walls of your tent, creating a wide, inviting opening on the remaining two sides. Customers can browse without feeling trapped, and you stand inside the L — accessible and in control.

Layout 2: The U-Shape

Three tables form a U shape: one across the back and one down each side. Customers step inside and are surrounded by product on three sides. This layout creates a "mini-shop" feel and dramatically increases browsing time.

⚠️ The U-Shape Trap

Don't let the opening get too narrow. If only one person can enter at a time, you create a bottleneck that discourages browsing. Keep the opening at least 4 feet wide. Use the Layout Planner to measure exact clearances before show day.

Layout 3: The Center Island

Best for: High-volume vendors (soaps, stickers, small prints, food items) who want 360° customer access.

Place one or two tables in the center of your tent instead of against the walls. Customers can browse from all four sides. You use your tent walls for vertical display (banners, gridwall, hanging inventory) and let the center table do the selling.

Place your tallest display (gridwall, shelving, banner) at the interior corner, and run two angled table rows outward toward both aisles. Customers approaching from either direction see product immediately.

This is a defensive layout. You create a solid perimeter with tables on three sides and use the tent's back wall as your fourth barrier. All product stays inside the perimeter, and customers interact through the front opening only. You sacrifice browsing freedom for product safety.

The Vertical Rule

Regardless of which layout you choose, the single highest-impact upgrade is going vertical. Flat table displays have a customer visibility radius of 3 feet. Adding a 7-foot gridwall extends that to 30 feet — a 10× increase in the number of passersby who can see your work.
